Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is a worldwide consistent, independent testing and certification system for raw, semi-finished, and finished textile products at all processing levels. Every component of an article has to be tested — not just the outer fabric, but also sewing threads, buttons, and other accessories.
What does it test for?
The test catalogue comprises around 100 parameters including pH value, colourfastness, pesticides, allergenic dyes, heavy metals, and formaldehyde — covering all substances that are known to be harmful to human health.
What do the product classes mean?
Oeko-Tex 100 operates four product classes based on skin contact: Class I (baby products), Class II (next-to-skin garments), Class III (non-next-to-skin), and Class IV (decoration materials). Our certified fabrics meet Class I and II — the strictest requirements.
